How to Find Your Face Shape
Determine Your Face Shape
The most important step in choosing frames is identifying your face shape. Here’s how to match frames to your features:
Oval Face
- Features: Balanced proportions, slightly wider cheekbones, tapered chin.
- Best frames: Most styles work! Experiment with bold shapes like oversized frames, aviators, or retro round styles. Avoid frames that are too narrow.
Round Face
- Features: Soft curves, equal width and length, fuller cheeks.
- Best frames: Angular or geometric shapes (rectangular, square, cat-eye) to add definition and contrast. Avoid round frames, which can exaggerate softness.
Square Face
- Features: Strong jawline, broad forehead, angular contours.
- Best frames: Round or oval frames to soften sharp angles. Thin metal frames or semi-rimless styles also work well. Avoid boxy or square designs.
Heart-Shaped Face
- Features: Broad forehead, high cheekbones, narrow chin.
- Best frames: Bottom-heavy styles (like round or aviator frames) to balance the face. Light-colored or rimless frames also draw attention downward.
Diamond Face
- Features: Narrow forehead and chin, wide cheekbones.
- Best frames: Cat-eye, oval, or rimless frames to highlight cheekbones. Avoid narrow or overly angular designs.
